The work is continuing.  The mechanic is a lovely person.  A monk, Athenios, with one of the monasteries that believes all monks must spend part of their day working for helping those around them.  Also bringing in money and practicing skills that are useful for the monastery.

He also had a helper, named Walbot.  It looked like it had been an auto-waiter.  The monastery had given it the ability to think a few years ago.  It had spent a little while working as a waiter before it decided it wanted to be more.  Now it is helping Athenios and learning how to be a mechanic.
