We have 67 veggie packs, 20 bamboo packs, and 21 tasty rocks.  We have 42 fuel.

There was a false alarm early in the morning. Onyx was working on the sensors without telling Terranova, who was at the helm.  The scanners went on the fritz and showed a couple of possible pirates.  It got everyone going.  Onyx apologized for not warning Terranova and since it was a false alarm the crew was willing to be forgiving.  Onyx spent the rest of the shift talking with Terranova trying to understand how the displays worked.

Arthur seemed a bit panicked and more than I would have thought even for an ex-corp drone.  He put it down to a bad experience with a pirate attack in the past.  Then he mentioned that a friend he had that was still with the corp had mentioned a new weapons manufacturer on Harvest that the corp had recently dropped over not being willing to move either to Shadow’s dark side.  He asked if I thought my crew and I would be interested in doing the research.  I suspect he was trying to deflect from his panic.

I put the question to the crew at our midday touchbase on the bridge.  They were all in favor of at least reviewing the contract, so I told Arthur we’d be interested.  He was able to have them send us the contract.  It looks really pretty good.  We’ll have to store one of our systems, probably the arms, while we do the research near Harvest but it should be doable.

I used the extra time to process the remaining bio samples and get the report put together.  When I sent the data off Bo sent in the paperwork, but they didn’t bite on the reimbursement.
