Star Date – 1035.7.6

 Location – BQ.RA Shadow

The first engineer we talked to was a flying frog.  We don’t have an aquatic chamber or room for one.  The second was an abrassive Throg who spent half the interview process praising the Parthen.  The third was a very young Trithel that was blind with a very neutral affect.  The flying frog agreed that joining our crew was a terrible idea.  The crew debated a bit before offering the job to the Trithel, Onyx.

When they agreed to join the crew they proceeded to haggle over their share of the mission rewards.  Eventually they agreed to join the crew for an extra 200 nubuck signing bonus.  Then we bought food for everyone and fuel.  10 veggie packs, 20 bamboo packs, 30 tasty rocks, and 40 fuel.  It cost 880 nubucks total.

That evening Bo and I went to the agora to see what missions were on offer.  There were two research opportunities.  One another Phase II data processing job for a major medical group, the Institute of Tranquility.  I’ll process those 36 samples as we travel for the 360 nubucks.  The other is a contract to research the weather on Wavecrest.  It seems like they this College of Terminal Weather thinks an equator ought to be similar to Shadow’s terminus.  They want 72 observations and will pay 1440 nubucks.

The other job we picked up is Arthur Lump.  He is a human bound for Unity with not much money and basically no options.  We also picked up another 30 veggie packs for 240 nubucks.

Next cycle we’re off to drop Monk Telluride on his world of crystal rings.
