Bo and I checked the mission boards.  There were 10 missions available including 3 research assignments and another survey job we can take.

We accepted all four of the missions.  When I arranged calls with the research sponsors I learned that one of them was actually two sponsors that hate each other.  That work was a study on a peculiar pseudo-asteroid lifeform that can be found quite close to Jungle Gym.  The sponsors sniped at each other over who deserved tenure at their Institute of Crypto-Biology.  Then they told us we have 18 cycles to get the data to them, or else.  Terranova was listening in and seemed rather appalled.  After quickly checking the distances I told them that given their requirements we were unable to provide the research and would gladly pay the 820 nubucks to cancel the research contract.  They were offended and started to yell at me so I hung up on them.

When the contracting company asked I explained that the contractee had demanded a very tight deadline which would have required not doing any of our other work as well as been extremely unpleasant.  They accepted the payment and made a note on the contract.

Of the rest of the work, we will get to the survey sooner than the rest of the research as it takes us to an unexplored planet close to Forge, at R2,R8.  No one was pleased to hear that we would have another documentary crew aboard for it, but we didn’t find out until after agreeing to the contract.

The other research contracts included a weather study of the Gas Giant, Persimmon, that Luck orbits and an ecological study of a sort of rocky space shark called a Tremolean at BK,2 near Shadow.  The space shark is reported to be quite dangerous.

In preparation for departing early tomorrow I purchased 111 food packs for 333 nubucks.   That included 31 veggie packs, 52 bamboo packs, and 28 tasty rocks.  This brings our totals to 75 veggie packs, 60 bamboo packs, and 40 tasty rocks, which covers 40 cycles when the 5 extra meat packs that I will eat are included.
