We were able to get some interviews with the local government.  Their legends claim that they come from a distant place and were transported here in a cataclysm.  It had triggered this planet to translate and expand making it the strange place it is today.

That was the last of the sections, so we sent the report in.  It will be interesting to hear how things progress.  Especially with that origin story.
