Star Date – 1036.5.13

 Location – R6,R10

We have 64 veggie packs, 48 bamboo packs, 224 tasty rocks, 32 meat packs, and 112 fuel.

We found an asteroid that we can mine.  Since we have the arms ready and we have space in the cargo hold we decided to see what we could get for future sale.

We found some cleansing mineral, which I know is used to shield radioactive materials.  We also found some fossilized bio-matter.  Checking the galactic markets both are best sold on Progress so we will hold them until then.

Bramble Deepdelve mentioned that given the way the asteroid had been moving we should be able to find a planetoid to slingshot around to save fuel nearby.

We are going to undertake a xenozoological analysis of the sample with Mooington.  When I let him know he froze up in excitement and nearly tumbled over.  Apparently, this is one way they respond to surprises.  We contacted the Installation and they are very interested in getting our observations as this is the first time anything like it has been seen near Windsong.

I spent some time setting up the observation deck to make our observations.  As I was sitting there alone Stoneburrow came in.  He confessed that he wasn’t actually a miner.  He is a Senior Brother in the Order of the Diggers, which is an order that normally only serves his people.  Seeing how we handled the asteroid made him a bit ashamed, which is why he came to me.  He asked me to keep this quiet and promised a thank you gift when we reach Harvest.
