Slash was called to help his kin with some beasts that have been breaking into the mushroom chambers.  Onyx and I joined him in hunting the beasts.  We were able to drive them off though only just.  The farmers thanked Slash.

When we got back to the ship we began working through the cultivated bacteria.  It looks like there may be certain sets of microorganisms that improve each type of fungus.  We completed the report and took it with the mortar to the local Federation Secretary.

We will check the local mission boards in two more cycles, when we are about ready to leave.

The Secretary handed us some physics research.  This looks like an annoying bit of research as there are competing scientists and they hate each others guts.  At least we should be able to complete it quickly.  Since it is physics Jerry asked that he be listed as an author, which I agreed to.
